GA FSIS Expands in Pecan Grove Industrial Park

Albany, Georgia (September 25, 2017) – LRA Constructors, Inc. (LRA) has started construction for Georgia Federal-State Inspection Service in the Pecan Grove Industrial Park, marking their 5th project in the park.  The project will consist of site development of roughly 2.7 acres including grading, storm and sanitary sewer, water main, asphalt paving of new drive and parking areas, curb and gutter, and sidewalks.  Building construction includes a 4,585 SF office addition, a 5,000 SF Classroom and Storage Facility, and a 9,000 SF Warehouse building.  LRA will utilize its self-perform services for foundations and pre-engineered metal building work.

LRA Completes Building Repairs for MCLB Building 1430

Albany, Georgia (September 22, 2017) – LRA Constructors, Inc. (LRA) has completed repair work to Building 1430 at the Marine Corps Logistics base in Albany.  The 70,000 SF facility was damaged during the January 2017 storms.  Repairs included replacing damaged wall panels, translucent panel wall lights, high bay fixtures, overhead doors, and also a complete new standing seam metal roof system.  LRA utilized its self-perform services for the installation of all metal building components.  The company has a long history at MCLB-Albany, completing over eighty projects at the base.

Crisp Regional Oncology Renovation & Addition

Cordele, Georgia (July 17, 2017) – LRA Constructors, Inc. is pleased to announce it has started work this week for a renovation and addition to Crisp Regional Hospital’s Oncology Suite.  The project includes interior renovations to the existing oncology suite with a connected addition at the hospital’s front elevation, creating space for additional treatment bays.  This is LRA’s third project with Crisp Regional following projects for the Women’s Health Center and Health & Rehabilitation facility.  Work will be completed later this year.

Renovations for Grady EMS Underway

Albany, Georgia (June 16, 2017) – Serving as design-build contractor, LRA Constructors, Inc. has started work for renovations and modifications to an existing facility in downtown Albany for Grady EMS, the hospital-based emergency care component of Grady Health System.  The fast-track project includes interior and exterior renovations and modifications to a roughly 14,000 square foot facility.  Work is expected to be completed within ninety days.

LRA Begins Work for UniFirst Plant Expansion

Dothan, Alabama (April 13, 2017) – LRA Constructors, Inc. is pleased to announce it started work this week on a plant expansion for UniFirst Corporation in Dothan, AL.  This is the general contractor’s second project at the plant after constructing the waste water building addition in 2012.  This project includes loading docks expansion, construction of 2-story stockroom and extensive site work.  All work will be completed while keeping the plant in operation.  UniFirst and LRA first worked together in 2011 on a plant modernization project in Albany, GA.

LRA Awarded Design-Build Contract with City of Albany

Albany, Georgia (December 2, 2016) – LRA Constructors, Inc. was recently awarded a design-build contract with the City of Albany for interior renovations to the previous SB&T bank building at 401 Pine Avenue in downtown Albany. Renovations are being made to the 4-story, 21,738 square foot main building and 3,108 square foot out-building to accommodate Albany Utilities’ relocation. As design-build lead on the project, LRA’s design and consulting partners include Yielding, Wakeford & McGee Architects, Driggers & Associates and Dukes, Edwards & Dukes, Inc. Construction is expected to begin by end of the year with completion by August 2017. This project gives LRA two significant projects in downtown Albany with the Pretoria Fields Microbrewery project, also on Pine Avenue, beginning last month.

Crisp County High School Additions & Modifications

Cordele, Georgia (October 19, 2016) – LRA Constructors, Inc. (LRA) is pleased to announce it has been awarded contract for additions and modifications to Crisp County High School.  The project includes a band room and weight room addition at the high school as well as a new standalone concessions building at the football stadium.  Work is scheduled to be completed Summer 2017.  Of special note, this project will be LRA’s third consecutive on the high school campus with previously completed projects in 2014-15 and 2015-16.  As general contractor, LRA will be working with architect James W. Buckley & Associates.

LRA Begins Work for Reeves Construction

Macon, Georgia (August 12, 2016) – LRA Constructors, Inc. is pleased to announce that it started work this week for construction of a 13,454 SF standalone maintenance facility for Reeves Construction in Macon, Georgia.  As design-build contractor, LRA is responsible for all architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical related work.  LRA is excited to be working on this project as the two companies have enjoyed a long relationship as construction partners.  Additionally, this project increases LRA’s presence in the Macon area where it is currently working on First Quality Packaging Solution’s plant modernization off Industrial Highway.

Americus Poultry Processing

Americus, Georgia (April 6, 2016) – LRA Constructors, Inc. (LRA) is pleased to announce it has been awarded contract for renovations to an existing refrigerated facility to create a poultry processing plant in Americus, Georgia. As general contractor, LRA will self-perform all demolition and concrete work while managing plumbing, mechanical, fire protection and electrical work associated with construction of new refrigerated space.

LRA Maintains Presence in Cordele Area

Cordele, Georgia (March 10, 2016) – With the Cordele Health & Rehabilitation project for Crisp Regional Hospital beginning within the next week, LRA Constructors, Inc. (LRA) will strengthen its already significant presence in the area. The renovation project includes interior renovations to existing resident and therapy spaces as well as exterior improvements to an open courtyard located within the building footprint. This project, along with multiple active projects for both Helena Industries and Crisp County Schools, represents over 400,000 square feet of active new construction/renovation work for the general contractor in Cordele, Georgia.
