Albany, Georgia (January 23, 2012) – Starting Monday, January 23, 2012, LRA Constructors will be operating from a new location, after nearly 30 years on Oakridge Drive.  LRA is now located at 2727 Upland Court in the Westover Business Park.  Construction of the new office and shop buildings was completed mid-January 2012.  LRA Constructors, Inc., founded in Albany, Georgia in 1978, is a full-service general contracting, construction management and design/build provider with the desire to meet the client’s needs in an expeditious and competitive manner and with no sacrifice in quality and aesthetics.  The company is currently licensed in Georgia, Florida and Alabama and performs work in the Church, Healthcare, Industrial, Government, Military, Institutional, Office, Retail and Transportation Dealership markets.

Columbus, Georgia (October 19, 2011) – LRA Constructors is preparing to install the foundation for the new Kia Autosport dealership in Columbus, Georgia.  The project, which broke ground in September, includes site development of approximately 6 acres and construction of a 32, 172 square foot facility.  The new dealership includes a 14, 795 square foot fully conditioned service area.  This client is a repeat client of LRA, after previously working together on facilities in Albany, Georgia and Pensacola, Florida.

Albany, Georgia (August 3, 2011) – LRA Constructors, Inc. was recently awarded contract for the construction of a new bookstore at Darton College in Albany, Georgia.  The project will include a new 6,000 square foot standalone building with new hardscape to connect to the adjacent student center building.  LRA looks forward to working on another project on the campus of Darton College.  As general contractor, LRA will be working with the design firm of Flynn Finderup Architects and program manager, Hal Gibson Companies.  Construction is expected to start in August 2011.

Albany, Georgia (May 26, 2011) – On May 24, 2011, LRA Constructors broke ground on a new corporate office building and site improvements for SASCO Chemical Group.  The new corporate office building will allow SASCO to expand their current facility in Albany, Georgia.  As general contractor, LRA is teaming with Yielding, Wakeford & McGee Architects to provide design/build services for this project.  David Bailey will serve as superintendent for the project which is expected to be completed later this year.

Albany, Georgia (March 16, 2011) – LRA Constructors has recently acquired twelve acres in the Westover Business Park, located on Westover Boulevard one mile south of Gillionville Road near Darton College.  Westover Business Park is a joint development between Plantation Builders & Webb Properties.  LRA is currently working with design professionals and expects to break ground on their new site in early summer 2011.  LRA Constructors is currently located at 1901 W. Oakridge Drive.

Albany, Georgia (March 16, 2011) – LRA has recently been awarded a contract for the Phase I Career Center at Albany Technical College.  On this new project, LRA will renovate an existing building to create a career center so that students of various occupations can have a “real life lab” to work on until completion.  Architect on the project will be Ellis, Ricket & Associates.
